Vienna offers a wide range of hiking opportunities within the city limits. In the Vienna Woods with its lush meadows and extensive forests and in the Viennese vineyards, you can combine outdoor activity with the culinary delights of a visit to a Heuriger.

Leopoldsberg, Kahlenberg, Hermannskogel, Am Himmel, Jubiläumswarte, Lainzer Tiergarten, Bisamberg, Sophienalpe are a selection of diverse tour destinations. Vienna Alpine shows its guests the most beautiful spots and most attractive routes.
City walks are suitable for gaining an insight into the alpine landscape within a duration of two hours, are accessible all year round and can be reached by public transport. A special highlight for our international guests!

Mountain Hikes in the Vienna Alps
In just about 75 minutes of travel we reach the Vienna Alps with their famous mountaineering villages that have already fascinated Emperor Franz Josef, Arthur Schnitzler and Viktor Frankl.
Rax, Schneeberg, Hohe Wand, Bucklige Welt, Semmering and Wechsel region offer a wealth of half-day or full-day tours of all difficulty levels. Many destinations are also accessible by public transport.
Mountain hikes are conducted as half-day (3-4 hours) or full-day tours (5-6 hours).
